The Texas Supreme Court said Thursday that the state did not have the right to take 139 children from a Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints compound last month.

The ruling is expected to extend to all of the more than 450 kids seized in the raid. Those kids have been living in foster homes across the state.
