The only Canadian group invited to perform at last year's Newport Folk Festival, singing and songwriting duo Dala has built a following in its native country and beyond.

Sheila Carabine and Amanda Walther have been performing together since 2002, when they met in high school. Together, they've just released their third album, Everyone Is Someone. Dala has been nominated for two Canadian Folk Music Awards, and its song "Horses" (included here) was named one of the Top 10 Folk Songs of 2009 by Folk Alley.

Also in this segment, Mountain Stage pianist Bob Thompson performs the Stevie Wonder tune "All in Love is Fair."

This Mountain Stage concert originally aired on January 15, 2010.
