The Black Keys drummer teamed up with four other percussionists to form the band Drummer. The five Ohio-based players quickly showed their versatility, taking up guitar, vocals, keyboards and bass; within two months of playing together, they had a record in the works.
Released on Carney's Audio Eagle label, Feel Good Together pays homage to the soul of Northeastern Ohio while celebrating the group's bond of friendship. With jittery guitars, cool synths and reverb-laden vocals, the group has created a cathartic experience; as Carney puts it, it's an album about "five special guys, feeling good together."
