Rising Factory Output Points To Economic Recovery
Factories are humming again. A survey of leading manufacturers released Thursday showed that last month, factory output in the U.S. grew for the eighth straight month. That's the fastest pace in nearly six years.

MONTAGNE: There is one problem though, and that's continuing, employers generally are still reluctant to hire, which means unemployment isn't falling that fast even as economies recover.
