Heavy touring and a lot of internet hype helped Ra Ra Riot explode onto the indie rock scene. The band formed in 2006 and quickly honed an innovative, youthful and spirited style. Now, the band is about to release its sophomore full-length, The Orchard, on August 24. The sextet boasts a grand sound thanks to exultant vocal harmonies and string arrangements provided by cellist Alexandra Lawn and violinist Rebecca Zeller.
