The Best Of The Year In Americana

Thursday night in Nashville, the Americana Music Association celebrated its ninth annual Americana Music Awards, live from the Ryman Auditorium. This year's ceremony featured more than a dozen live performances, several awards for the best Americana music of the year, and a handful of lifetime achievement awards. Artists who performed include The Avett Brothers, Rosanne Cash, Ryan Bingham, Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris and some of the honorees below.

Country and bluegrass stalwart Jim Lauderdale was once again the master of ceremonies, and fellow legend Buddy Miller led a house band full of Americana all-stars that's rivaled only by this year's lineup of performers.
