Virginia-born Scott Miller has recorded and released six albums over the last 10 years since departing from the Knoxville-based group The V-Roys. His latest, For Crying Out Loud, stays true to his alternative country style and story-telling songs such as "Appalachian Refugee."

Miller has found much success as a live performer over the course of his career and he continues to do so. He has a way of charming his audience with his humor and lighthearted presence, as you'll hear in this performance, Miller's second on Mountain Stage.

Miller's "Lo Siento, Spanishburg, W.VA." is his ode to the Mercer County, W. Va., town.

This performance of Mountain Stage was originally published Oct. 21, 2010.
