British-born, New York-based singer-songwriter James Maddock made his first appearance on Mountain Stage to showcase songs from his latest record, Sunrise on Avenue C.

His group Wood released Songs From Stamford Hill on a major label a decade ago, and critical praise and television spots followed. Ten years later, Maddock has released a new song set, Sunrise on Avenue C, filled with blue-eyed soul and a voice that at times recalls a youthful Rod Stewart.

Set List

  • "Prettier Girls"
  • "Chance"
  • "Sunrise on Avenue C"
  • "Sun’s Out"
  • "Crazy Little Thing Called Love"

This performance originally aired on November 24, 2010.
