Scrub The Cat, Lost Since Katrina, Returns Home
RENEE MONTAGNE, host:
Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne.
It's not clear where Scrub has been for the last five years. We do know the gray-and-white cat is now back home in Gulfport, Mississippi after wandering away in the days after Hurricane Katrina. The Biloxi Sun Herald reports a woman just found Scrub, and the Humane Society used his microchip to find Scrub's owners. The one-time indoor cat is scarred and wilder, but did quickly return to his old habit of sleeping under the covers in the family's beds.
It's MORNING EDITION.
