Sondre Lerche sprung a surprise on his fans with the jazzy Duper Sessions, and his new Phantom Punch throws yet another curveball. After making a name for himself as a slick pop singer, Lerche strips down the instrumentation with his backing band, The Faces Down. Mostly recorded live and in one take, with very few overdubs, it's a risky move. But it spawns more than a few terrific pop songs, while further establishing Lerche's reputation as a songwriter and a risk-taker.

KUT reflects Austin's diverse live music scene: Americana, rock, folk, jazz, and blues.
