David Bromberg: In The Studio, A New Lease On Life

You may or may not know who David Bromberg is, depending on your age. Odds are, though, you do know his friends. Bromberg has been featured on close to 200 albums, recording with Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Carly Simon and The Eagles, among others. George Harrison and The Grateful Dead appeared on his albums. Bromberg's passion, however, is acoustic blues, and his mentor was the Rev. Gary Davis.

Still, Bromberg eventually found himself feeling burned out, and ultimately took 17 years off leading up to the 2007 release of Try Me One More Time. (Use Me followed last year.) On the day he visited the Folk Alley studios for this session, he had a new band and a new lease on life.
