Musical Based On Spice Girls To Open In London
"Viva Forever" is the name of a new musical based on songs from the Spice Girls. The five members of the British girl-power band made the announcement Tuesday. The plot isn't much of a surprise — the show is about a group of girls who become swept up in a world of fame and celebrity. It opens in London this December.

MONTAGNE: The word is "Viva Forever." That's the name of a new musical based on songs from the Spice Girls, which, clearly, producers are hoping is what fans want - really, really want.
The five members of the British girl-power band made the announcement yesterday. The plot line isn't much of a surprise - the show is about a group of girls who become swept up in a world of fame and celebrity. It opens in London this December. The producer is the woman behind "Mamma Mia!", a hit musical that revise the music of another disbanded band.
