Rayland Baxter makes his first appearance on Mountain Stage, recorded live in Charleston, W.Va. Since the release of his debut album Feathers & Fishhooks in 2012, the Nashville-born singer-songwriter has toured alongside Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Kacey Musgraves, The Head And The Heart, Shakey Graves, Boz Scaggs, and Tedeschi Trucks Band.

No stranger to the journeyman's side of the music business, Baxter grew up studying at the feet of his father, legendary pedal-steel ace Bucky Baxter, who regularly tours and records with Bob Dylan, Steve Earle and Ryan Adams, just to name a few. Rayland Baxter's latest album is Imaginary Man. His band includes Jimmy Matt Rowland on keyboards, Tyler Osmond on bass, drummer Matt Musty and guitarist Jaan Cohan.
