'Brexit' Mixtape: Send Us Yours
All Things Considered is thinking about British songs that reflect people's sentiments in the U.K. We picked some; if you can think of better songs to explain Brexit, tweet us @npratc #BrexitMix.
(SOUNDBITE OF SONG "I WANT TO BREAK FREE")
QUEEN: (Singing) I want to break free. I want to break free.
RAY SUAREZ, HOST:
We're spending a lot of time on today's program talking about the Brexit decision, and it got us thinking about songs reflecting people's sentiments across the pond right now. We don't have a special relationship with one side or the other. Without further ado, we give you a Brexit playlist.
(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "I WANT TO BREAK FREE")

U2: (Singing) With or without you. With or without you, oh.

FLEETWOOD MAC: (Singing) You can go your own way. You can go your own way.
(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "DON'T LEAVE ME THIS WAY")

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "DON'T YOU WANT ME")
THE HUMAN LEAGUE: (Singing) Don't you want me, baby? Don't you want me, oh.
(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "NOT BIG")
LILY ALLEN: (Singing) I never wanted it to end up this way. You've only got yourself to blame.

CHESNEY HAWKES: (Singing) You try to make me forget who I really am. Don't tell me I know that. I'm not the same as all the rest. I am the one and only. Nobody I'd rather be.
SUAREZ: Breaking up is hard to do. If you can think of other songs to explain the Brexit vote, send us a tweet @npratc #BrexitMix. Maybe we'll play some of your jams on the program tomorrow.
(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "I AM THE ONE AND ONLY")
HAWKES: (Singing) I am the one and only, nobody I'd rather be. I am the one and only, can't take that away...
