George Clinton, the mastermind behind the bands Parliament and Funkadelic, is one of the foremost innovators of funk music. Clinton and Thundercat also broke the news that they're now labelmates: Clinton is set to release a new record via Flying Lotus' Los Angeles label, Brainfeeder, in 2017.
