Hometown: London, England

Genre: Global

Why We're Excited: Though based in London, 47Soul formed in Jordan with a mission to reflect its members' Palestinian heritage. Utilizing four singers, they describe their sound as "shamstep" — electronic music that incorporates the traditional dance style known as dabke — and weave together lyrics in both Arabic and English. At once traditional and brightly modern, "Mo Light" summons unity and defiant joy, calling for connectedness around the world.
