Hometown: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Genre: Rock

Why We're Excited: Linnea Siggelkow makes soft and somber, shoegaze-friendly bedroom pop under the name Ellis, conjuring memories of Mazzy Star and Slowdive along the way. On her debut EP, The Fuzz, Ellis wrings an awful lot of drama and tension out of a voice that's frequently held to a whisper, set alongside guitars that buzz, reverberate, feed back and otherwise enshroud her presence in beauty.
