Hometown: Sydney, Australia

Genre: Country

Why We're Excited: If you're looking for a path from the Australian country scene to the American charts, you don't have to look much further than the Toyota Star Maker competition, whose winners have included, among others, Keith Urban. Rachael Fahim won the big prize in 2017, and has spent the months since climbing all over the Australian country charts. In "Brake Lights," she's already got herself a rousing, pop-friendly set-closer: a booming vocal showcase whose choruses just keep swelling till they're fit to burst.
