Hometown: Jerusalem, Israel

Genre: Soul

Why We're Excited: Jerusalem-bred singer and producer Ori Alboher records under the name ORI, looping spare beats, samples, homemade effects and snippets of his own voice into haunting songs that gain power as he slowly stacks on more skeletal bits of atmosphere. "Black Book" accumulates the crackling of static, a ticking beat, mouth noises and other effects until it's created a strange, immersive sound-world.
