Hometown: Flagstaff, Arizona

Genre: Folk

Why We're Excited: Tow'rs is led by husband and wife Kyle and Gretta Miller, who aren't terribly concerned about blowing out their string-infused folk-rock songs to fill arenas. Listen to the wistful "Girl in Calico," and you'll hear key ingredients of a powerhouse anthem — luscious strings, a crisp guitar line, rich vocal harmonies — and none of the rafter-rattling grandiosity. Instead, every sound is impeccably rendered in the service of tender, ornate quietude.
