We kick off this week's show with the sophomore solo album from former One Direction singer Niall Horan who's back with a collection of songs that document the lows – and highs – of breaking up. We've also got a big, colorful burst of joy from Big Freedia called Chasing Rainbows, a gritty, psych-rock collaboration between The Flaming Lips and Deap Valley and a momentous new jazz project on the inevitable end of everything from Shabaka & The Ancestors. It's called We Are Sent Here By History. Host Robin Hilton is joined by NPR Music's Ann Powers, Lars Gotrich, Lyndsey McKenna and Stephen Thompson, along with Nate Chinen of WBGO and Jazz Night In America to share their picks for the best new albums out on March 13.
