Why We're Excited: Leslie Bear's second album as Long Beard was inspired by her decision to move back home to New Jersey — a relocation that spawned a fair bit of melancholic introspection. Fortunately, Bear just happens to have a sound perfectly suited to such ambivalent nostalgia: In "Sweetheart," she sets her sepia-toned reflections on an old love against chiming, crystalline guitar lines that sound like the musical equivalent of faded postcards.
