Why We're Excited: Making Movies features two sets of musical brothers — one set is Panamanian-American, the other Mexican-American — with a passion for protest music and a high-profile collaborator in Panamanian superstar Rubén Blades. Together, they released last year's vital Ameri'kana, which mixes powerful statements on immigration and identity with a densely polyrhythmic, deeply urgent rock sound.
