Genre: Indie Pop
Why We're Excited: A New Orleans band that's collaborated with hometown pals like Big Freedia and Tank and the Bangas, Sweet Crude sports a brightly booming pop sound and Cajun influences that extend to its bilingual lyrics. In the case of "Sun Sept" — its title, a play on the mix of English and French, is pronounced "Sunset" — that means pouring on some of the giddiest, most soaring harmonies this side of Peter Bjorn and John.
