We've been waiting eight years for new music from Fiona Apple and now it's here. Fetch the Bolt Cutters is a monumental album shuddering with the kind of singular sound fans will be dissecting and obsessing over for years. We lead off this week's show with the album's opening cut, "I Want You to Love Me." Also, on the program: the genre-obliterating singer Rina Sawayama, the Colombian Canadian singer Lido Pimienta, the warped hip-hop of Shabazz Palaces and more. Host Robin Hilton is joined by NPR Music's Ann Powers, Stephen Thompson and Tom Huizenga, along with contributors Stefanie Fernandez and John Morrison, host of XPN's Culture Cypher Radio and the podcast Serious Rap S*** as they share their picks for the best new albums out on April 17.
