You know that feeling when you reunite with an old friend and it feels like nothing's changed? That feeling of comfort and camaraderie is kind of what it's like listening to Old 97's. The guys are old friends of World Cafe; after all, they've been together for 27 years, and all the while, they've consistently put out new music with the same lineup of members.

Old 97's has just released their new album, Twelfth, which is, as you may have guessed, their twelfth record. Today frontman Rhett Miller joins me to talk about how they've kept it together through all of life's ups and downs, including his own decision to get sober about 5 years ago. You'll also hear Rhett perform songs old and new in front of a live virtual audience.
