Have you ever met someone you'd consider a "free spirit"? Maybe you even consider yourself one: someone who follows their muse, goes where the wind takes them, who seems unbound by the rest of society's rules? That ALL describes my guest today. Cordovas frontman Joe Firstman seems like the epitome of a free spirit, and today you'll hear all about his journey from wannabe surfer to getting a record deal with Atlantic in the early 2000s to becoming the bandleader for Last Call with Carson Daly in 2005 ... to forming Cordovas with guitarist Toby Weaver.

If you're looking for some inspiration to follow your maybe unconventional dreams, this is the session for you.
