How Political Instability Affects The Economy

We're only seven days into the new year and 2021 is starting off with a bang — a violent one.
An angry mob of President Trump's supporters stormed our nation's Capitol building this week in something of an attempted coup — their words, not ours.
But in all the commotion, we also saw the stock market reach record numbers early into the year. Oh, and in case you missed it, Joe Biden was also officially confirmed as President by the U.S. Congress.
We have a lot of questions.
So today on the show, we talk with Dan Drezner. He's a professor of International Politics at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He's also a columnist for the Washington Post.
We ask him about economic growth, political instability and the indicators he's watching.
