Lupin is a smart and twisty French series that's new to Netflix. It's about a young Parisian man named Assane, played by Omar Sy, who molds his life on classic French tales about a fictional gentleman thief and master of disguise named Arsène Lupin. Assane is the son of a Sengalese immigrant who died after being accused of a crime, and we soon learn that what's really driving Assane's intricately plotted criminal adventures is a desire for revenge.
