The show begins with Lucy Dacus looking at the past, quite literally. "Hot & Heavy" is a song that rummages her past, reflecting on what it was like coming of age and discovering her place in life while growing up in Richmond, Va. There's a video down below on this page with old family footage and present-day Lucy that unfolds so beautifully.

The young Nigerian-American singer Uwade wrote a song to her late father, while the brothers who make up the band Field Music share thoughts on losing a friend and whether that friend ever understood the impact she had.

The singer Rosie Tucker thinks back on their grandparents, their farm and the politics and ramifications of farming. Smoothboi Ezra sheds light on the world of relationships through the eyes of a non-binary songwriter on the autism spectrum. And we rewind the world to 1962, just two weeks before producer George Martin would start working with The Beatles, and take a peek at his creative spirit with two songs that are newly remastered and remixed.
