This edition of All Songs Considered begins with George Harrison and a song from The Beatles guitarist more than 50 years old. "Isn't It A Pity" has always been my favorite song of George's solo years. We hear a newly remixed version produced by his son Dhani, which features George Harrison's vocals a bit more out front of Phil Spector's production. Next, I have a new collaboration from Colin Newman of Wire, Malka Spiegel and Stereolab's Laetitia Sadier. Then, we hear from singer and composer Haley Fohr, best known as Circuit des Yeux, who has a new album, -io, coming in late October. It was written after a personal loss, recorded during the pandemic, and features a 24-piece string ensemble along with wind and brass instruments. That's followed by "Aquamarine," another sonically rich record, from Meg Duffy's Hand Habits. Their new album, Fun House, is out Oct. 22

The band Coco has accumulated more than two million plays on Spotify, but the band's identity was a mystery ... until now. It's the project of Maia Friedman from Dirty Projectors, Dan Molad of Lucius, and Oliver Hill from Pavo Pavo. Their new self-titled album is coming in October, and we hear the song "Knots." Finally, I'll close out the show with "Sparrow," what I'd consider the B-side of the two new songs Big Thief recently released.
