2021 was an absolutely incredible year for Latin music. As the world began to recover from the worst of the pandemic, Latin artists brought us an abundance of new music to get through the year. Looking back at all of the singles of 2021, it's stunning to witness the vast diversity across these songs.

This year's singles were marked by a blurring of the lines marking Latin's music past and future. This year, we witnessed the confident ascent of brand new voices, like YEИDRY on "Ya," and a cemented stardom for artists who've been in the game for some time like Rauw Alejandro. Latin music titans converged with the genre's new vanguard in unique collaborations, like Aventura and Bad Bunny's "Volví."

While we acknowledge that we can't get to all of the incredible singles that came out in 2021, we at Alt.Latino have come together with a panel of Latin music experts to speak about a few of our favorite songs from this year. Special thanks to Isabelia Herrera, Julyssa Lopez, Reanna Cruz, and Cat Sposato for joining this discussion.
