Our first New Music Friday of the year opens with a stunning new mixtape from the singer and producer FKA Twigs. CAPRISONGS is a radiant, more intimate and grounded collection of songs than the shape-shifting artist's earlier work, as she celebrates the friends and collaborators who helped her recover from a period of personal hardship.

We've also got new music from the rappers Earl Sweatshirt and Cordae, some joyful singalongs from The Lumineers, the producer and DJ Bonobo and more. NPR Music contributor Cyrena Touros joins WXPN's John Morrison, NPR's LaTesha Harris and Radio Milwaukee's Tarik Moody, along with host Robin Hilton, as they share their picks for the best albums out on Jan. 14.
