You may know that David Bowie lived in New York City; you may know about his Berlin period. But do you know about David Bowie's connection to Philadelphia?

In this episode of The Culture Corner, World Cafe correspondent John Morrison talks about what Bowie, who would have turned 75 years old this month, was up to in Philly in the '70s – like the time word got out that Bowie was recording in Philadelphia, and a group of young fans started camping out on the sidewalk outside the studio. Bowie decided to invite them in for a listen. It's indicative of the intimate relationship he had with the city of Philadelphia.
