Porridge Radio has new music that's both joyful and fearful. The title of the band's new album sums up that feeling of anxiety and thrill perfectly — it's called Waterslide, Diving Board, Ladder To The Sky. I'll start off this week's All Songs Considered with the song "Back To The Radio."

The Iranian/Dutch singer Sevdaliza is on a mission to redefine the role of women in our world. She does that with her music and also with a robot she's built called Dahlia. In fact, she's named her new EP, Raving Dahlia, and we hear the song "High Alone."

With the Tiny Desk Contest now underway, it's good to hear from our very first Contest winner Fantastic Negrito. He has a new album and film coming titled White Jesus Black Problems and we get a sneak peek with the song "Highest Bidder."

Daniel Rossen of Grizzly Bear takes us on a fabulous sonic adventure. His next album, You Belong Here, is out on April 8. Daniel plays almost all the instruments on the album including upright bass and cello. His Grizzly Bear bandmate, Christopher Bear joins him on this new tune called "Unpeopled Space."

The backend of the show features some creative collaborations, beginning with the groundbreaking electronic musician Hans-Joachim Roedelius. At 87 and more than 100 releases over the past 50 plus years, Roedelius has teamed up again with Tim Story for an exquisite dual piano album called 4 Hands. And our final collaboration features the interplay of synthesizers under the command of Mathieu Charbonneau and Pietro Amato and their project Synth Works Vol. 2. If you take a look at the video at the bottom of the page you'll see a room full of synthesizers in dialogue with one another. It's a fascinating project filled with unexpected sounds.
