Surgeon general calls gun violence an 'epidemic'; How Waco reverberates today
Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy has long called gun violence in America an epidemic. He's pushing for more research into gun violence and what the government can do to prevent it.
Then, a federal appeals court ended Johnsons & Johnson's attempt to sidestep lawsuits over its baby powder Monday. The company tried to use a bankruptcy filing to block the nearly 40,000 lawsuits from people alleging its baby powder contains asbestos. NPR's Scott Horsley joins us.
