Last year, Kelsey Plum got what looked like a middle school participation trophy, and the WNBA was shamed for it. It worked. This year's MVP, Jewell Loyd, got a huge trophy worthy of her performance.

The WNBA's All-Star Game MVP trophy got a major upgrade. Last year, Kelsey Plum got what looked like a middle school participation trophy, one she held with her fingertips and described as her little teacup. Well, the WNBA got shame for it, and it worked, because this year's MVP, Jewell Loyd, got a huge trophy worthy of her performance, one that she playfully struggled to lift over her head.
