Kara Jackson grew in Oak Park, IL, where she started writing poetry in high school. Turns out, she was so good at it that she was named first Chicago's, and then America's, Youth Poet Laureate. She then started putting her words to music, and recorded Why Does the Earth Give Us People to Love?, one of the most acclaimed albums of 2023. But, can she add one more accolade to her resume by winning our game?
