The NPR Politics Podcast is the most downloaded political podcast in the United States, according to industry watcher Podtrac, which has ranked the top 20 podcasts in the country by monthly audience since last year. In the month just before the 2016 election, more than 1,000,000 unique listeners a week downloaded the podcast. Launched in November of 2015, the NPR Politics Podcast has produced more than 250 episodes — including weekly roundups of top political news, breaking news, deep dives into policy and listener mail episodes where the team answers questions sent in by its listeners.
