NPR News and KPCC 89.3 FM Examine Americans' Changing Views of Religion and Spirituality
Thursday, December 21, 2000

Pasadena, CA-In a town hall setting at the California Institute of Technology, Talk of the Nation Host Juan Williams and special guests will examine Americans' changing views of religion and spirituality. In the first hour, the discussion will focus on new seekers - those who have sought spirituality through various religious or philosophical disciplines, and who at times have combined practices or customs from multiple disciplines in order to meet their individual spiritual needs. The second hour will explore the New Orthodoxy as Williams and his guests discuss why many people are returning to the roots of traditional religion.

The live broadcast forum will air Thursday, December 21, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM PT on NPR member station KPCC 89.3 FM. The public is invited to the broadcast - for reservations call 626-585-7000. For nationwide station information and broadcast times, please visit NPR's Web site at
