It's hard to imagine anyone considering financial news entertaining. After all, the nation's debt is through the roof, the housing market is in the dumps and there's hardly a job in sight. Enter NPR's Planet Money, which has been winning acclaim and accolades for its inventive, clear and, yes, fun coverage of the ongoing financial crisis. Now, the Planet Money guys, Adam Davidson and Alex Blumberg, are set to reveal what they think is next for the economy during the live event "This Is NPR...An Evening with Planet Money" on Wednesday, July 27 at 7:00PM at Sixth & I.

Tickets for this one-night engagement are on sale now. Seating is general admission. Tickets are $20 in advance, and $25 on the day of the event, and are available for purchase through Ticketfly and at the Sixth & I box office.

During the evening, Adam and Alex will embark on a lively and enjoyable conversation about the not so exciting and not terribly enjoyable national economy. The duo will share some of the best moments from Planet Money and also explain a thing or two about the financial crisis: why unemployment is still so high and probably won't come down any time soon, how the economy has fundamentally changed in ways that are just beginning to be understood, and why the solution to most of the problems might involve 3 year-olds and finger-painting (seriously).

NPR's Planet Money, a multimedia reporting project led by Davidson and Blumberg, covers the global economy on radio and through a blog, podcast and social media. Reports frequently air on NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered, and This American Life from PRI and Chicago Public Radio. The series continues to prove itself as the place for insightful and innovative financial coverage with stories such as the purchase of a toxic asset and a three-part exploration on the rise and fall of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. NPR programming can be heard in Washington, D.C. on WAMU 88.5; find other NPR Members stations at www.npr.org/stations
