Do you think being a woman and a musician is different from being a man and a musician? If so, how? Was there a moment that made a difference clear to you?

Not that it doesn't still happen, but I noticed it way more when I first started out. It would be things like engineers or promoters assuming I was a girlfriend of a male band member, being looked over while a male band member was addressed about sound or money or whatever- those kinds of things.

Do you see differences between generations of women musicians?

I mean there are some notable differences I think. It wasn't until around the early seventies when you saw the first all female rock bands. Being a women in that context was way more of a novelty back then then it is now.
