          Nye Tries To Hang On In Va.

          Glenn Nye (D) ousted GOP Rep. Thelma Drake in 2008 by 5 percentage points, a slightly better margin than the one by which Barack Obama carried the district. Scott Rigell, a wealthy auto dealer, came under fire in the GOP primary when it was revealed he gave Obama a $1,000 contribution in 2008; he says he did so in order to stop Hillary Clinton from getting the Democratic presidential nomination. -Ken Rudin
