Alpine, "Foolish"

In 2013, I fell in love with the video for the song "Gasoline" by the Australian band Alpine, which mixed explosive choreography with incredible editing to make a lightweight song feel both intimate and explosive. "Gasoline" came from the album A is for Alpine, an adventure in airy pop, and now we have our first taste of a new album by the sexy sextet.

Like the older songs, the new one, "Foolish," surveys a landscape of atmospheric beats and features harmonies from Phoebe Baker and Lou James. And once again, they've matched it with a video that perfectly imagines the world they create in sound, clean and buoyant. The new album by Alpine, called Yuck, will be out on June 16.
