On April 20, 1999, two students went on a shooting rampage at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado. Dylan Klebold, 18, and Eric Harris, 17, killed 12 students and one teacher before turning their guns on themselves. Since then, the nation has been consumed with trying to figure out what caused the boys to carry out the massacre, which had been intricately planned for over a year.

This section highlights NPR stories on the tragedy and aftermath, an All Things Considered town meeting, and the your turn discussion boards.
