
CJ Riculan

CJ Riculan is a self-taught animator and designer for NPR Video. She is currently the art director and lead producer for NPR Music's The Formula, a series that takes you inside the creative process of unique hip-hop producers.
Since joining in 2016, Riculan has been integral in developing the animation work within the video team. She has art directed Elise Tries, Future You, Ron's Office Hours, and countless Tiny Desk Concert Specials. Her greatest hits include Code Switch's BIPOC video, James Beard Nominated "Dandelion Foraging" and "Jazz Is The Mother of Hip-Hop," which received a Webby Award for Online Film & Video.
Riculan earned her B.A. in multimedia journalism from Virginia Tech.
