Miguel Perez is a radio producer for NPR's World Cafe, based out of WXPN in Philadelphia. Before that, he covered arts, music and culture for KERA in Dallas. He reported on everything from the rise of NFTs in the music industry to the enduring significance of gay and lesbian bars to the LGBTQ community in North Texas.

Perez is featured regularly on NPR's All Things Considered, where he reviews new music releases from artists like Kaytranada, Rina Sawayama, and Girlpool.

He got his start in public radio in 2017 as an intern for KERA's Art&Seek. He's also interned for NPR and The Dallas Morning News. His love affair with music journalism began at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he covered the local art and music scene for his college newspaper.
