Jamila Huxtable

Assistant Producer, The Indicator from Planet Money

Jamila Huxtable is an assistant producer for NPR's daily economics podcast, The Indicator from Planet Money.

Huxtable enjoys covering stories where culture and economics intersect. Just take a listen to her piece on the history of Spirit Halloween. At The Indicator, she has reported on how to Secure the (Telfar) Bag and The Tequila Boom and Agave Bust. She's a self-proclaimed "child of the internet" so you can also find her reporting on how Tik-Tok makes you buy things.

Huxtable's work can also be found on NPR's It's Been A Minute and Morning Edition. She holds a degree in journalism from Temple University's Lew Klein School of Communications.
