Selling Off Slices of Marilyn Monroe's Life

September 27, 1999 • More than a thousand items that once belonged to movie queen Marilyn Monroe will soon be sold at auction. Sotheby's and Christie's are preparing to sell such memorabilia as the piano Monroe played as a girl, and the "cocktail suit" she wore when she married Joe DiMaggio.
