White House Alters Tone of Iraq Weapons Talk January 27, 2004 President Bush and his top aides are modulating the tone of their discussion of the question of whether Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction prior to the US invasion of Iraq last year. Bush's former treasury secretary, is the first top-level administration insider to publicly criticize the Bush White House.
